Ok, But How Does This Work?
The software we use to drive advertising breaks it down into Metro areas which are not defined by state or county lines. It has more to do with what advertising companies refer to as media markets.
Landscape Today provides a list below of these Metro areas. Because most of us might think about state definitions more than media market definitions, we show the information based on states. Keep in mind that media markets - like radio or television - don't jam their signals on state or county lines. This means you will see market coverage overlap - so you may see a South Carolina market in a Georgia market. Remember, our ads are based on pulling from these media or metro markets.
Start cherry picking your markets and be thinking about how your product go to market strategy might be different in Atlanta than it is in Seattle.
See the Metro areas below listed by state. Remember, in the example below, you can place an ad for the Birmingham, AL metro area which covers 91 cities, but you there isn't a way to purchase the Alabama market [yet]. The states are only shown to help you find your metro areas.
So, if you search for "Pensacola" it comes three times - it doesn't have to do with state or county boundaries - it has to do with media market definitions.
